The Vancouver Olympic Club is beginning it’s plan to Return to Sport and there are several elements of this plan that rely on the support and cooperation of athletes and their families. Although the plan below is set to begin June 30th, we may need to alter and adjust as dictated by the Provincial Health Officer and Athletics Canada. Here is VOC’s Return to Sport Guidelines:
NOTE: In order for the VOC to ensure the safety and well-being of our members we require a Safety Officer at each practice. As such, any athletes returning to practice will be obliged to have one adult family member volunteer as Safety Officer for at least one practice. The Safety Officer will support the coaches in ensuring hand hygiene and physical distancing are maintained throughout the practice session. More details and sign-up sheet to come.
Please note that all in-person practices will be taking place at Prince of Wales high school beginning June 30th. Timing of practices will remain consistent with our regular scheduled times.
JD group Tuesday, Thursday at 4:00-5:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-10:00am.
14+ group Tuesday, Thursday at 5:15- 6:30pm and Saturday 10:15-11:30am
Details regarding specific drop-off and pick-up procedures and exact field locations to come later this week. Please note that all athletes will need to bring their own bottle of hand sanitizer to practice daily. No spikes will be required.
We have attached a few documents for our families to adhere by and if you have any other questions, please feel free to review these documents and another resort is to contact someone on our Executive Team.
