Ceili McCabe wins 3000m Steeple Chase Big 12 Championships in Manhattan Kansas State

Our very own Ceili McCabe is the second Vancouver Olympic Club Athlete whom has won at the Big 12 Champion Conference Meet. The other VOC Athlete that won at the Big 12 was Nina Schultz in the Heptathlon.

Representing the West Virginia University Mountaineers at the Big 12 Championships on Saturday, May 15, in Manhattan, Kansas, Ceili McCabe finished in a winning time of 10:08.69 in just her third-ever steeplechase performance. Her performance was WVU’s first-ever Big 12 Championship win in the 3,000-meter steeplechase competition at the conference meet.

She ranks fifth in WVU outdoor program history, and she also holds the No. 1 time with a 9:58.62 mark, and Ceili holds the record time at Kansas State’s R.V. Christian Track Complex.
