VOC Athletes shine at the University of Washington High School Invitational 2020

VOC Athletes had an incredible start to their season this weekend at the University of Washington High School Invitational. Four athletes competed in the 3000m event, achieving top performances and personal best times. 

Kendra Lewis ran an incredible race and fast last lap. She won her heat, was the overall winner and broke the meet record by over 10 seconds in 9:45.19!

Dylan Uhrich also ran a strong race, controlling the pace with a powerful kick in the last 400m to win his heat in 8:37.00 which placed him 3rd overall.

Riordan Miya ran strong and calm, setting a great pace and finishing with a personal best time of 9:19.70.

Davis Timko ran a race that Besnik would be proud of. He owned the inside lane and ran with the river to a personal best time of 9:20.39.

Meanwhile, at Point Grey track, Christian Petersen and Huseyn Azizli achieved great results in their time trials Saturday morning. Christian ran 9:18.24, a personal best of 3”, and Huseyn ran a mile in 5:05.00.
