New Generation of VOC Athletes Striving for Excellence

Nine VOC athletes competed at the BC Junior Development Championships on July 19-21, in South Surrey, bringing home 9 medals (one gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze)

Our 10 year old girls had great results where Vanessa Pang, won gold in the 60 Hurdles and silver in 60m dash and Long Jump. Elizabeth Hardcastle was fifth in 60mH, 8th in high jump and 9th in long jump.

For the 11 year old category, Ana Montessori, won two silver medals in 60m dash and 60m hurdles.

In the 12 years old category, Ava Cardey won the silver medal in 60mH with a PR of 12.87.

Allison Torrance won silver in long jump, finished 5th in 200mH and 7th in 80mH with PR. In this age group as well, Lilly Kriebel competed well in the 100m, and both long and high jump.

For the 13 year old category, Wyatt Lambert, won two silver medals in 200mH and Triple jump, and he finished 7th in 80m H. Jose Montessori ran a great 80mH with PR of 13.89 and 200mH with 32.18 finishing respectively 4th and 7th, and completed the high jump in 5th place with 1.34m
