There were many first appearances for Logan Bovell at the Emilie Mondor Invitational last Saturday. This was her first time competing at the BC outdoor track meet running against top BC sprinters, and also competing against the top of University varsity athletes, who are in their preparations for NCAA and NAIA championships.
Bovell came to this prestigious meet after her victory last month at Percy William Indoor Games in Richmond, where she won the 200m with a time of 26.63 which ranked her # 1 in for senior high school girls (BC indoor).
In the 100m, she had a good start and with a strong finish, and came in third, amongst 23 athletes, with the time of 12.58. In the 200m, she had a solid run coming in 4th with an impressive time of 25.68.
With both times of 100m and 200m, Logan Bovell is ranked # 1 in BC for the 2016 opening season.
