Thomas Nobbs – First PG Runner in 39 Years to Reach Podium at BC X-C Championships

Thomas Nobbs is the first Point Grey High School (PG) runner in 39 years to reach the podium at the BC X-C High School Championships.  The last person to achieve this was Rob Lonergan who won the BC Championships in 1976.  Paul Skarsgard, PG Coach, shared his thoughts:

“Thomas Nobbs made history becoming the first Point Grey runner in 39 years to place in the top 3 at the BC’s since Rob Lonergan won the BC Championships in 1976. Neck and neck with 2 runners over the final stages of the race, Thomas crossed the finish line in 3rd place, collecting a bronze medal for his miraculous performance. What a monumental achievement, Thomas! Congratulations!”
