Three VOC athletes won gold medals on Saturday, September 27, at the Bear Creek X-C meet in Surrey.
Six athletes competed successfully on last Saturday at South Fraser Cross Country meet at Bear Creek Surrey.
Sophia Fernback, 11, placed sixth with a time of 7:42 and Amelia Geheran, also 11, in 8:20. Twelve-year-old Tyler Hicks finished strong, placing twelfth with a time of 13:45.
It was great performance from 12 years old, Kendra Lewis, who continues to run stronger race after race and finished first with the time 10:51.60, winning the gold.
Thirteen-year-old Nina Watson, came back to the cross country program running solidly with the strong finish, winning her age category in a time of 11:17.80.
Thomas Nobbs, 15 years old, dominated the race from start to finish coming first overall from 14-17 years old with the time 12:38.
